Roma youth from Romano Lav had a fantastic time on the Stand Up To Racism march on Saturday!

It was so inspiring to see them joining the march and  represent their community, chanting alongside the thousands strong crowd.

Alongside chants of ‘Say it loud, Say it clear - Refugees are welcome here!’ and ‘Justice for Sheku Bayoh!’ they thought it important to add a Roma focused chant, and despite it being her first ever protest - Lena bravely borrowed a megaphone and led the crowd to chant ‘Love Roma! Hate Racism!’

Their community catalyst learning was really put into practice; most importantly the experience of standing in solidarity with other groups and how it feels to support one another in standing up for your rights!

It was such an inspiring day and we are so proud of them!
