Apply to become a change-maker and leader in your community!
Thank you so much for your interest in our programme. We’re delighted to be able to bring you a paid learning opportunity to learn more about your rights and how to build community power!
The programme will take place over one afternoon every week, paid at £11 an hour. The first part of the programme will last for 8 weeks, and it is all about building community power, standing up for yourself and your community, learning about your human rights and how to win better rights and opportunities for yourself and your community. Each session will have fun activities as well as hearing about inspiring successful movements and struggles that resulted in communities winning!
After this, you will then have the opportunity to learn fun skills such as filmmaking and photography and show off what you have learned. As an example, last year our students had their own professional photography exhibition AND a film premiere, and the film was the first short film made by Roma youth in Scotland! This opportunity is open to all Roma young people aged 16-24 years old.
If you need any help with your application, or you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 0141 433 2999 and ask for Toni or David. You can apply online, or via a paper application. Looking forward to hearing from you and building power together!
You can apply online, or via a paper application which you can pick up at the Govanhill Baths Community Trust offices at 126 Calder Street. Applications are due by 5pm on Wednesday the 25th of January.
