We re-launched our project Roma Sisters Together this week, which will run as monthly wellbeing sessions  for women to come together and relax, socialise and learn new skills. The sessions are always child friendly so mums can bring their kids; there is a play area and older kids can get involved in the craft activities if they want to. This week included;

- Gail from Rags To Riches delivered a session turning old plastic bags into purses and pouches! Great fun and a really creative and sustainable way of utilizing unwanted plastic

- 20 min professional massages and beauty treatments from two  local massage therapists Caron and Sophie, and local makeup artist Nadia

- Katherine from the Govanhill Baths Community Trust Wellbeing programme came and spoke to the women about their summer programme, including Yoga, Woodcarving and Pottery! (full programme available here - https://www.govanhillbaths.com/.../well.../wellbeingwhatson/ )

In our next session we will be introducing more wellbeing activities to help promote relaxation, mental wellbeing and togetherness.

If you would like to attend the next session or know of someone you think would like to join in, please drop us an email at hello@romanolav.org or just get in contact via our facebook page!
