As part of the Govanhill International Festival and Carnival, our 'Roma Sisters Together' project ended with a bang with a community fashion show and party in the park!

It was such a wonderful celebration, with hundreds of people from the local communities coming down to have a dance and cheer on the incredible women and girls who were strutting their stuff down the catwalk. It was such an incredible celebration of the strong, beautiful and fierce Roma women of Govanhill!

As well as music and fashion, we had a craft stall selling crafts made by local Roma women, and a wellbeing station offering free massages and makeup for local women to come and get pampered.

With special thanks to the Govanhill Baths Community Trust for having our event a part of their fantastic programme, and to our funders GCVS and the Equalities and Human Rights Fund managed by Inspiring Scotland for making the event and the sessions running up it possible.
